The AI for Good Global Summit 2025 took place from 8 – 11 July 2025 at Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland. It was organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) — a UN agency — with over 50 UN partners, and convened alongside the WSIS+20 High-Level Event on digital cooperation.
Bringing together governments, industry, academia, civil society, and youth: The summit convened roughly 10,000–50,000 participants, including innovators, policymakers, and tech leaders, to explore how AI can advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Practical impact and inclusive governance: A central focus was on moving from principles to action — emphasizing responsible, inclusive, and scalable AI solutions that address real-world challenges.
Bridging digital and geographic divides: Calls were made for equitable access to AI technologies and digital infrastructure so that underserved regions can benefit from AI innovations.
